Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, and to drive test automation across our apps and platforms.

You will build and maintain automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and collaborate with developers to ensure quality and testability. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and AI QA tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
