N-iX is seeking a seasoned Lead Data Engineer & Architect to design and optimize a multi-country data platform on Snowflake and GCP for LATAM finance analytics. You will lead ingestion, semantic modeling, and DataOps while aligning with Risk, Product, and executive teams.

Requirements include 3+ years Snowflake prod experience (or 5+ in cloud DW), strong GCP skills, dbt mastery, and excellent Spanish/English communication. Remote-friendly with flexible format across LATAM.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years Snowflake production experience (or 5+ years cloud data warehousing with Snowflake focus). Master-level knowledge of virtual warehouses, Streams & Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Snowpark.
• GCP experience: Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Datastream (CDC) for raw data ingestion.
• dbt for transformational workflows and Snowflake DCM Projects / Git for version control and data-as-code deployments.
• Advanced SQL and Python for automation, data processing, and integrations.
• Experience designing multi-tenant or multi-country security architectures including dynamic PII masking and RBAC policies.
• Fluency in Spanish and English for documentation; strong technical communication.

Responsabilidades

• Architect multi-country data platform across 8 LATAM operations using Snowflake and GCP.
• Build and maintain scalable ingest pipelines (Datastream CDC) into Snowflake via Snowpipe.
• Model semantic layer with dbt (Star Schema, Medallion Architecture) for cross-country analytics.
• Implement DataOps with Snowflake DCM integrated with GitHub CI/CD.
• Define governance, security policies, and compliance across jurisdictions.
• Optimize cloud costs: warehouse sizing, clustering, caching, auto-suspend, monitors.
• Bridge business goals with data pipelines and ensure fast, reliable queries for leadership.
• Mentor engineers and promote software engineering practices in data workflows.
