Job summary

MAVI is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to own fund accounting and investor reporting for a US private equity or venture capital firm, working remotely from Argentina. You'll lead the area's people and day-to-day results, reporting to the Controller or VP of Finance, while staying hands-on during close or audits.

You will manage NAV, capital activity, investments, and investor reporting, lead audits and K-1s, develop the team, and design controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years accounting experience.
• Experience leading accountants and owning reviews.
• Experience with private fund accounting, capital calls, and partner allocations.
• US GAAP or IFRS with exposure to US clients/entities.
• Experience with Allvue, Investran, eFront or QuickBooks Online.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare NAV and capital accounts and partner allocations.
• Process capital calls and distributions, maintain waterfall.
• Record investment activity and fair value marks; reconcile to custodians.
• Prepare quarterly investor reports and support LP requests.
• Lead annual fund audits and K-1 process with tax advisors.
• Lead, review, and develop a team of accountants; set quality standards.
• Design and maintain controls and approval workflows; fix gaps before audits.
