Job summary

MAVI seeks a Controller to own the month-end close and core financial reporting for a PE-backed US company, working remotely from Argentina. You will lead the close, prepare US GAAP financial statements, and oversee audits and sponsor reporting, aligning with the CFO and board.

This senior, leadership role is fully remote with cross-border collaboration and a focus on governance and accuracy in financials.

Qualifications

10+ years of accounting experience and leadership in finance.
Experience presenting results to executive leadership.
Strong accrual accounting fundamentals and financial statement support.
Experience reporting to PE sponsors or lenders.
US GAAP or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients/entities.
Proficiency with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero or QuickBooks Online.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close with calendar, quality, and cycle time.
Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow support under US GAAP.
Lead the annual audit or review from PBC through resolution of findings.
Prepare monthly reporting packages for PE sponsor and lenders.
Calculate debt covenants and support earnings quality work.
Set accounting policies and document them for audit defense.
Present results and recommendations to CFO, executives, and the board.
