Job summary

MAVI is seeking a Property Accounting Manager to own property-level accounting across a US real estate portfolio, working remotely from Argentina. You will lead the area's team, report to the Controller or VP of Finance, and stay hands-on during closes and audits.

In this role you will close property ledgers, prepare CAM and tax reconciliations, manage tenant receivables, and produce owner and lender reporting packages.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience leading accountants and owning the review of their work.
• Experience with property accounting, including rent rolls and CAM reconciliations.
• US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities.
• Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, or RealPage.
• Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Close property ledgers monthly, including rent, recoveries, and operating expenses.
• Prepare annual CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations for tenants.
• Manage tenant receivables, deposits, and straight-line rent.
• Prepare owner, investor, and lender reporting packages.
• Consolidate property results into portfolio and fund reporting.
• Lead, review, and develop a team of accountants, setting clear standards for quality and timeliness.
• Design and maintain the controls and approval workflows for your area, and fix gaps before an auditor finds them.
