Job summary

MAVI seeks an experienced Accounting Team Lead to run the month‑end, quarterly, and annual close for US‑based client companies, working remotely from Mexico. You will lead a small team of accountants, review entries, and ensure US GAAP, ASC 606, 842, and 718 compliance while delivering on schedule.

You’ll mentor staff, improve processes, and partner with US leadership and auditors across time zones.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Ownership of a full close cycle end to end.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 606; ASC 842; ASC 718).
• Experience preparing financial statements including cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Run the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy.
• Maintain revenue recognition and intercompany elimination.
• Coordinate with auditors and external partners.
