Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated testing for desktop and mobile apps, while performing manual and exploratory testing. You’ll integrate tests into CI/CD and tackle flaky tests, ensuring reliable releases across platforms.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on Playwright and Appium experience, and familiarity with Electron/React Native apps, plus AI-assisted QA tools. This is a remote, globally distributed position.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
