Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automated and manual approaches. You will build robust test suites, integrate them with CI/CD, and work closely with developers to ensure testability and solid acceptance criteria.

You’ll perform functional, exploratory and regression tests across Electron/React Native apps, leveraging Playwright, WebdriverIO and Appium, while evaluating AI-assisted QA tools to improve coverage.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
