Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to lead desktop and mobile test automation, while owning manual and exploratory testing. You’ll build reliable automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and robust quality across platforms.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO + Appium, and familiarity with Electron/React Native apps and AI QA tools. Remote team, global scope.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
