Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation, while executing manual tests to ensure product quality. You will collaborate across teams to refine acceptance criteria and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines for rapid releases.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted QA, testing Electron/React Native apps, and handling real-device validation in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation and manual/exploratory testing required.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, e.g., GitHub Actions.
Proficiency with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and React Native apps including real devices.
Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, manage test data and environments.
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
Participate in on-call rotation.
Record test results and contribute to QA documentation.
Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
