Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps while performing manual and exploratory testing. You will build, maintain, and integrate tests into CI/CD and collaborate with developers on testability and acceptance criteria.

Ideal candidates have strong Playwright/WebdriverIO/Appium experience, testing Electron/React Native apps on real devices, and familiarity with AI-assisted QA. This is a remote role with global impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands‑on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
