Job summary

Tether is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own both manual and automated testing for desktop and mobile apps. You’ll build robust test automation, integrate it into CI/CD, and tackle flaky tests while collaborating with developers to define testability and acceptance criteria.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in QA, experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium, and familiarity with Electron or React Native apps on real devices. AI-assisted testing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and reviewing their output; AI-powered testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
