Job summary

Magi-K hires Nordic Creole-English over-the-phone interpreters on a freelance basis. This remote role offers a flexible schedule and USD monthly payments, with onboarding after acceptance. You will interpret clearly, maintain confidentiality, and support healthcare and legal inquiries.

We seek native speakers of Finnish, Swedish, or Danish with English at C1. A stable internet connection, a noise-canceling headset, and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Native Finnish, Swedish, or Danish with English at C1 level.
• One year interpretation experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical or legal terminology is a plus.
• Stable internet; dedicated setup; 4 Mbps download/upload.

We are hiring NORDIC CREOLE-ENGLISH OVER-THE-PHONE INTERPRETERS

Your role

Your job as an Over-the-Phone interpreter involves providing clear and accurate interpretation between languages, assisting non-English speakers in various activities.

Required qualifications (Must have):

• Native in Finnish/Swedish/Danish and - Level English: C1 level
• We consider as a plus: One year Experience in the interpretation and good knowledge of medical / legal terminology
• Computer : Windows 10 or newer, with Pentium, or I3 processor. Minimum: Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz / Recommended: i5 / i7 2.4 GHz and above.. It should have a 4 GB RAM Minimum (8GB recommended).
• Stable and fast internet connection (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 4Mbps Download/Upload.
• A noise canceling wired USB Headsets
• Willingness to learn and grow both professionally and personally.

Your responsibilities:

• Providing over the phone interpretation services.
• Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speakers from source language into target language. (Haitian Creole-English language pair).
• Complying with applicable ethics and standards
• Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
