Job summary

Magi-K is seeking Thai-English over-the-phone interpreters for a flexible, freelance remote role. You will provide clear, accurate interpretation between Thai and English, supporting non-English speakers in healthcare and other contexts.

We offer a 100% remote position, immediate onboarding, a flexible schedule, and monthly payment in USD. Candidates should be native Thai with English at B2/C1, good terminology knowledge, reliable hardware, and a stable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Native Thai with proficient English (B2/C1).
• Experience in interpretation preferred, knowledge of medical/legal terminology a plus.
• Must have Windows 10+ and a fast, stable internet connection.
• Noise-canceling headset required.

Responsibilities

Your role

Your job as an Over-the-Phone interpreter involves providing clear and accurate interpretation between languages, assisting non-English speakers in various activities.

Required qualifications (Must have):

• Native in Thai - Level English: B2/C1 level
• We consider as a plus: Experience in the interpretation and good knowledge of medical / legal terminology
• Computer : Windows 10 or newer, with Pentium, or I3 processor. Minimum: Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz / Recommended: i5 / i7 2.4 GHz and above.. It should have a 4 GB RAM Minimum (8GB recommended).
• Stable and fast internet connection (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 4Mbps Download/Upload.
• A noise canceling wired USB Headsets
• Willingness to learn and grow both professionally and personally.

Your responsibilities:

• Providing over the phone interpretation services.
• Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speakers from source language into target language.
• Complying with applicable ethics and standards
• Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
