Magi-K is hiring Korean–English over-the-phone interpreters for a 100% remote freelance role. You will provide accurate interpretation, conveying tone and meaning while complying with industry ethics. Healthcare/medical terminology familiarity is a plus, with an emphasis on learning and professional growth.

Immediate onboarding is available and work can be scheduled flexibly. The position offers a fully remote setup, with payments in USD on a monthly cadence.

Qualifications

• Native Korean speaker with fluent English (B2/C1).
• Experience in interpretation, especially medical/legal terminology, is a plus.
• Stable wired internet connection with minimum 4 Mbps download/upload.
• Windows 10 or newer PC with sufficient RAM (4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended).
• Noise-canceling wired USB headset and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsabilités

• Provide over-the-phone interpretation services between Korean and English.
• Convey thought, meaning, tone and emotions from source to target language.
• Adhere to applicable ethics and standards.
• Familiarize yourself with healthcare/medical terminology used by clients.

Your job as an Over-the-Phone interpreter involves providing clear and accurate interpretation between languages, assisting non-English speakers in various activities.

Required qualifications (Must have):

• Native in Korean - Level English: B2/C1 level
• We consider as a plus: Experience in the interpretation and good knowledge of medical/legal terminology
• Computer : Windows 10 or newer, with Pentium, or I3 processor. Minimum: Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz / Recommended: i5 / i7 2.4 GHz and above.. It should have a 4 GB RAM Minimum (8GB recommended).
• Stable and fast internet connection (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 4Mbps Download/Upload.
• A noise canceling wired USB Headsets
• Willingness to learn and grow both professionally and personally.

Your responsibilities:

• Providing over the phone interpretation services.
• Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speakers from source language into target language.
• Complying with applicable ethics and standards
• Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
