AgileEngine is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own the data pipeline and analytical architecture for a high-volume marketing analytics platform. You’ll decide partitioning strategies, file formats, and near-real-time processing for OLAP workloads on an S3-backed data lake.

You will design and govern ETL pipelines, define DAG orchestration with Airflow, and lead senior developers while upholding code quality standards.

Formación

• 7+ years of engineering experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines and architectural decisions for large-volume data systems.
• OLAP-style analytical data architecture experience with tools like Athena/Trino/Presto/BigQuery/Snowflake/Spark SQL.
• Experience designing data lakes on object storage with partitioning and Parquet/ORC formats.
• Strong DAG-based workflow orchestration knowledge, preferably Airflow.
• Proficient with the AWS data stack (S3, Athena, EKS) and DevOps collaboration.
• High proficiency in Python and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Docker and PostgreSQL for transactional/app layers.
• Comfortable in Mac/Linux terminal environments and AI-assisted development tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own ETL pipelines that scale data extraction, transformation, and validation from internal databases and external APIs.
• Make architectural calls on partitioning, file formats, and near-real-time processing for large OLAP data systems on a data lake.
• Own the design of scheduled batch workflows (DAGs) on Airflow, defining structure, dependencies, and triggering strategy.
• Drive AWS data stack usage (S3, Athena, EKS) and collaborate with DevOps to refine requirements.
• Review PRs to enforce code quality and guide senior developers in line with engineering practices.
