AgileEngine is a leading software company delivering award-winning solutions for Fortune 500 brands and innovative startups. We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own the data pipeline and analytical architecture for a large-scale marketing analytics platform.

You will make architectural decisions around partitioning, file formats, and near-real-time processing for OLAP workloads on an S3-backed data lake and define ETL pipelines within Airflow.

Formación

• 7+ years of engineering experience with ETL pipelines and large-volume data systems.
• Hands-on OLAP-style analytics architecture experience using Athena/Trino/Presto/BigQuery etc.
• Data lake on object storage (S3) with Parquet/ORC formats and cost/performance tradeoffs.
• Deep DAG-style workflow design and triggering; Airflow or similar orchestrator experience.
• Experience AWS data ecosystem: S3, Athena, EKS/Kubernetes; collaborate with DevOps.
• Strong Python backend skills (FastAPI or Flask).
• REST and GraphQL proficiency.
• Docker and PostgreSQL in transactional/app layers.
• Mac/Linux terminal proficiency.
• Hands-on AI-assisted development tools usage with responsible governance.
• Strong communication and defending technical positions for scalable maintainable solutions.
• Upper-intermediate English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own ETL pipelines extracting data from internal databases and external APIs at scale.
• Make architectural decisions on partitioning, file formats, and near-real-time processing for OLAP workloads.
• Own scheduling workflows (DAGs) on Airflow, define structure, dependencies, and triggering strategy.
• Drive AWS data stack (S3, Athena, EKS) and collaborate with DevOps on requirements.
• Review PRs and enforce code quality standards.
• Guide senior developers and align with client engineering practices.
