AgileEngine is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to own the data pipeline and analytics layer for a large-volume marketing analytics platform. You will define partitioning, file formats, and near-real-time processing on an S3-backed data lake, and lead a team of senior developers with high autonomy.

You will orchestrate ETL pipelines with Airflow, drive AWS data tooling (Athena, EKS), review PRs, and ensure code quality while guiding architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable solutions.

Formación

• 7+ years designing and implementing ETL pipelines for large data systems.
• OLAP-focused architecture with data lakes on object storage (S3).
• Strong Airflow experience or equivalent DAG orchestration knowledge.
• AWS data stack familiarity and ability to drive DevOps conversations.
• Backend Python proficiency and REST/GraphQL experience.
• Comfort with Linux/macOS terminal and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, validation at scale.
• Make architectural calls on partitioning, file formats, schemas, near-time processing.
• Own Airflow DAG design, dependencies, triggering strategies, without Airflow admin duties.
• Drive AWS data stack usage and collaborate with DevOps on requirements.
• Review PRs and enforce coding standards; mentor senior developers.
• Lead engineering practices and align team work with long-term maintainability.
