Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin, Argentina. You will drive the commercial strategy, manage the full sales cycle, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver top-tier service values.

The role requires heavy emphasis on technical sales, client engagement with operators, and strong collaboration across operations, engineering, and product lines to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS, or BHA optimization.
• Strong wellbore data interpretation and drilling KPI knowledge.
• Experience with operators in Vaca Muerta or similar shale basins.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication translating tech to commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, and Capex.
• Deliver technical presentations and post-well analyses to demonstrate service value.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, and RSS.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals to secure long-term business.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence within CRM systems.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE requirements and company standards.
