Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role based in Córdoba, Argentina. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling for data products.

You will work with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, and help design scalable data engineering workflows while improving developer experience and security practices.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE.
• Hands-on data engineering experience (2+ years).
• Strong background in AWS core services and data services.

Mansioni

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra and ETL jobs.
• Build and manage cloud infra using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability with metrics, logs, and alerts for data pipelines.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Develop Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) and data lake transformations.
• Drive security, least-privilege access, and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with data teams to scale infrastructure.
• Lead on-call incident response and post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture records.
