Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role based in Córdoba, Argentina. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines, build cloud infrastructure on AWS, and enable data teams to ship high‑quality data products safely and quickly.

You should bring 5+ years in DevOps or data engineering, strong AWS skills, and experience with CI/CD, IaC, and observability.

Qualifications

5+ years of DevOps/platform engineering or SRE with data engineering experience.
Deep AWS knowledge including S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
Hands-on with Glue, Athena, and S3 for data pipelines and analytics.
Proficiency in Terraform or AWS CDK for IaC and strong CI/CD experience.
Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infrastructure.
Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure and IaC using Terraform or CDK.
Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA compliance and fast incident response.
Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates for production pipelines.
Mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and lead incident post-mortems.
