Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in Córdoba. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivering data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to empower data teams to ship high-quality data products faster and safer. You will own the observability stack for data pipelines, manage container and compute infrastructure, and develop AWS Glue

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in DevOps or SRE with hands-on data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on with IaC tools Terraform and/or AWS CDK for prod cloud envs.
• Extensive CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Own the observability stack: metrics, logs, and alerts for SLA compliance.
• Manage container and compute infra used by data ingestion microservices.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams to design scalable infra.
