Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation and manual testing for our digital finance platforms. You will build, maintain, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers to improve testability and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web, WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile, and experience on Electron and React Native apps, including iOS/Android devices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
