Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to lead automation for desktop and mobile apps, while also owning manual and exploratory testing. The role includes integrating tests into CI/CD, diagnosing failures, and ensuring robust test coverage.

Ideal candidates have at least 4+ years in QA automation and hands-on experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, Electron/React Native apps, and familiarity with AI tools in QA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (desktop/web) and WebdriverIO + Appium (mobile).
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
