This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, setting governance and adoption plans across crops and regions, and strong focus on ethics, safety, and DEI in all capability hub activities.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in plant/animal breeding, quantitative genetics, data science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies and analytics.
• Ability to collaborate across regions and functions.
• Commitment to Bayer values and leadership attributes.

Responsabilités

• Define the vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration in the early breeding pipeline.
• Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and evidence-based decisions.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics and data workflows.
• Lead adoption and change management to embed new practices across crops and regions.
• Own impact metrics and align investments with cycle time and genetic gain.
• Provide tech and product knowledge to the Capability Center and cross-functional teams.
• Engage with universities to attract future talent and build partnerships.
• Ensure HS&E, compliance, DEI, and human rights are integrated in capability hub activities.
