A global law firm in the UAE seeks a professional for private fund formation, focusing on document drafting and managing investor relationships. You will engage in high-profile transactions and collaborate with top-tier teams. Clifford Chances private funds group (PFG) advises fund managers on the establishment of the full range of private capital funds: private equity real estate infrastructure debt/credit and emerging markets funds. We are a market leading global team advising a wide range of fund managers on raising predominantly closed-ended funds and structuring their related executive arrangements and management addition we advise on co-investments and secondary transactions working closely with our transactional M&A teams. We also carry out ancillary advisory work for fund managers and advise some institutional investors on their investments in private funds.
Our Private Funds Group in the UAE sits within our corporate practice that is comprised of seven partners twenty‑two associates and four trainees.
Having established a presence in the Middle East over 40 years ago we have an excellent understanding of the business and legal environment in the UAE Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East and offer applied expertise based on our involvement in headline transactions.
The team is truly global in its approach and client base. We have private funds groups in New York London Singapore Hong Kong Luxembourg Paris Munich and Madrid and these teams work together seamlessly on a regular basis.
The private funds market in the UAE particularly Abu Dhabi is experiencing substantial growth; driven by increased investor interest regulatory developments and the regions strategic positioning as a financial hub.
In this role you will work on ground breaking transactions with market leaders.
You will have a background in private fund formation with solid technical skills in fund formation gained through working at a top‑tier firm.
An outstanding academic history and proven first rate legal skills.
You will naturally be able to demonstrate excellent document drafting skills. You should demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills along with a high level of commercial awareness.
You will need to demonstrate that you can thrive in a team with high professional standards and a flexible client‑friendly commercial approach. You will have had strong exposure of collaborating with multi‑jurisdictional and multi‑disciplinary teams.
It is crucial that you can demonstrate an appetite for business development client relationship management and thought leadership.
