Job summary
A leading engineering staffing provider is looking for an Industrial Network Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves 12-month renewable contracts with responsibilities including network experience with various manufacturers and knowledge of SCADA systems. Candidates should have an engineering degree and 2–6 years of relevant experience. This position provides a promising career opportunity in a rapidly evolving technical environment.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree required.
- 2–6 years of relevant industrial network experience.
Responsibilities
- Work with industrial network switches from various manufacturers.
- Configure VLANs and work with SCADA systems.
- Maintain cybersecurity measures for OT environments.
Skills
Education
12‑month renewable contract (long‑term).
- Engineering graduate in electrical, computer science or IT.
- 2–6 years of relevant experience.
- Industrial network experience with switches from Hirschman, Belden, Ruggedcom, Cisco and OEM products such as protection relays (IED), power meters, data concentrators and IoT‑enabled products.
- VLAN configuration.
- Network protocols: RSTP, PRP, HSR, Sub‑ring, Hyper‑ring.
- Close work experience with SCADA systems from Schneider, ABB, Siemens, Toshiba.
- OT cyber‑security knowledge: port hardening, firewall.
