The College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a faculty position—either visiting or regular—at the assistant or associate level in the Master of Urban Planning (MUP) program. This role offers the chance to teach and research in a vibrant urban context, shaping future urban planners. MUP alumni hold key leadership roles regionally. AUS's recent emphasis on research provides strong support for scholarly activities.

Applicants should demonstrate excellence or potential in teaching, research, and service. Expertise in environmental planning, transportation planning, or planning history is preferred, but other urban planning interests are also welcome. The successful candidate will teach core and elective courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels, with a preference for those familiar with the North American higher education model.
A PhD in urban planning or a related field is required, with duties beginning in August 2025.
