A luxury hotel group is seeking a Waiter/Waitress for the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi. About the job

Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Food & Beverage Department, the Waiter/Waitress is responsible for ensuring that guests are served food and beverage according to the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi. The Waiter/Waitress reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and tables according to set standards.
• Greet the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.
• Communicate with the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.
• Assist the captain in presenting the menu, making recommendations, and taking orders.
• Serve food and beverage items and ensure prompt service.
• Follow up on billing and checking procedures.
• Ensure that the buffet is kept clean and free of debris.
• Coordinate and assist in the clearing of tables.
• Coordinate and assist in the clearing of station.
• Coordinate and supervise the return of dirty linen.
• Assist the kitchen in clearing the buffet.
• Be present in the restaurant during service hours.
• Inform the captain of all guest comments and complaints.
• Attend communication meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required by the restaurant manager, training manager, and food and beverage manager.
• Keep uniform neat and clean and ensure good personal grooming and hygiene in accordance with the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.
• Perform any other duties as directed by your supervisor or manager.
