Description

Apt Resources is seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join the team at a dairy farm in Abu this important role you will provide expert medical care to the farms livestock ensuring their health wellbeing and effective management.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct health assessments of livestock to diagnose and identify the nature of diseases or injuries.
  • Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medications setting fractures and dressing wounds.
  • Restore animal health through surgical and medical treatments as needed.
  • Prevent the spread of diseases such as rabies and brucellosis by conducting tests and administering vaccinations to the livestock.
  • Collect and analyze blood urine tissues and other fluids for diagnostic testing.
  • Train and supervise farm staff in proper animal care and handling procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records including reports logs and health documentation for the animals.
  • Implement testing and monitoring protocols to prevent disease transmission within the farm and to ensure compliance with relevant health regulations.
  • Develop and manage nutrition and breeding programs to ensure the wellbeing and productivity of the livestock.
  • Stay updated on the latest veterinary practices and advancements through continuous education professional publications and industry networking.
  • Conduct research on potential diseases and health concerns affecting farm animals.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the farm manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UAE

Benefits
