Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is seeking a teller to provide high-quality, accurate banking service at Abu Dhabi branches. The role requires flexibility to cover multiple branches, ensuring efficient cash handling and customer service in line with ADIB standards.

The successful candidate will handle teller transactions, support private banking clients, and assist with branch operations while maintaining compliance with UAE regulations and bank policies. This is a full-time on-site role in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ADIB product and service offerings in Institutional & Retail Banking.
• Familiarity with ADIB operational policies and procedures.
• Understand UAE banking regulations, risks and compliance requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of Central Bank of UAE regulations and guidance.
• Awareness of local market competitors and industry standards.
• General proficiency in delivering high service standards at branch level.

Responsibilities

• Processing teller transactions (cash deposits, withdrawals, drafts, telegraphic transfers, payments, standing orders, currency exchange) with accuracy and speed.
• Coordinate with Treasury for best rates for VIP or high-net-worth clients in conjunction with HOP coordination.
• Serve Private Banking customers at dedicated counters and handle other counter service requests as needed.
• Cross-sell products and refer customer inquiries to Sales staff.
• Act as a dual custodian for branch vault cash and security stationery; assist HOP as second custodian.
• Perform end-of-day balancing and ensure all centralized branch operations are correctly followed.

Job Description / Role:

Delivering quality teller service to customers via accurate and efficient processing, while projecting ADIB’s professional image in all interpersonal dealings.

The role requires the flexibility to cover different branches in the area when required, utilizing a high skill set to meet network logistics and volume demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing of all teller counter service transactions such as cash deposits & cash withdrawals and other transactions such as drafts, telegraphic-transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchase & sales, cheque deposits etc., in line with operational policies & procedures and within the agreed time frames.
• Liaise with Treasury department to obtain best rates for VIP & or high net worth customers in coordination with HOP’s where centralized telegraphic transfers are involved.
• Serve Private Banking customers at separate counters and process any other counter service transaction introduced by ADIB from time to time.
• Cross sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.
• Act as the one of dual custodian for branch vault cash and security stationery.
• Assist HOP as the second custodian for dual control.
• Perform end of day balancing.
• Ensure proper understanding and processing for all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects.
