Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PJSC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Teller (UAE Nationals with family book) to provide accurate, efficient teller services while projecting ADIB's professional image.

You will handle cash deposits and withdrawals, drafts, transfers, currency exchanges, and other counter transactions, balance at day end, and assist Private Banking clients as needed. Adherence to UAE banking regulations and cross-selling are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with teller transactions and customer service in a bank.
• Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and Central Bank rules.
• Familiarity with ADIB policies and procedures.
• Understanding of cross-selling banking products.

Responsibilities

• Process teller counter transactions accurately (cash deposits/withdrawals, drafts, transfers, currency exchange, cheques).
• Coordinate with Treasury for best rates for VIP/high net worth customers.
• Assist Private Banking customers at dedicated counters and process additional counter services.
• Cross-sell or refer product inquiries to Sales staff.
• Act as dual custodian for branch vault cash and security stationery; assist HOP as second custodian.
• Perform end-of-day balancing and ensure proper processing of centralized activities.

Role: Teller ( UAE Nationals with family book )

Role Purpose:

• Delivering quality teller service to customers via accurate and efficient processing, while projecting ADIB’s professional image in all interpersonal dealings.

Key Accountabilities of the role:

These are the main responsibilities of this role

Responsibilities:

• Processing of all teller counter service transactions such as cash deposits & cash withdrawals and other transactions such as drafts, telegraphic-transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchase & sales, cheque deposits etc., in line with operational policies & procedures
• Where centralized telegraphic transfers are involved liaise with Treasury department to obtain best rates for VIP & or high net worth customers in coordination with HOP’s.
• These responsibilities may also include serving Private Banking customers at separate counters and also processing any other counter service transaction introduced by ADIB from time to time.
• Cross sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.
• Act as the one of dual custodian for branch vault cash and security stationery
• Assist HOP as the second custodian for dual control.
• End of day balancing
• Ensure proper understanding and processing for all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects.
