Job description
Overview

At Emirates, we believe in connecting the world through our global hub in Dubai and innovating to ensure our customers Fly Better. Join us in Cosmopolitan Dubai as a Technical Product Manager and contribute to taking our products to the next level. We build effective technology products and services for a mix of B2B and B2C in domains such as Digital Airline, Airport Operations Group Services, and Commercial. Our goal is to deliver value to customers and users by continuously evolving our products.

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to own and evolve our IT products portfolio, including products such as Jira, Planview and related enterprise solutions. This role defines the product vision, roadmap, and value realisation of IT enablement products, ensuring implementation, adoption, and optimisation to drive outcomes across planning, delivery, cost management, and governance. You will lead prioritisation, manage demand, and continuously improve user experience to enhance IT operations. This is a highly visible role requiring strong product management discipline, technical depth, and stakeholder leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with TPOs (technical product owners), peer groups, vendors, and IT stakeholder groups to deliver ongoing and future Program Increment Planning (PIs), leveraging business value, assessing capacity, and effectively sequencing and prioritising backlogs.
  • Lead a team of TPOs through collaboration, delegation, and empowerment to ensure effective delivery of technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and service management teams to balance backlogs for a scalable, user experience–driven, stable, and performant product. Ensure Technical Debt, NFRs (Non-Functional Requirements), and system enablers are considered and cascaded to team backlogs.
  • Participate in Sprint demos at the team level and assist in preparing system demos and varied Demos and Visual Release Notes. Contribute to PI demos for stakeholders via Inspect & Adapt workshops to drive increased use and adoption.
  • Be responsible for the quality and integrity of the data held in the Product Catalogue for your products. Define a methodology for analysing and acting on target metrics to drive adoption.
  • Develop and mentor TPOs, supporting their professional development. Contribute to the TPM peer community in identifying opportunities for Learning and Development, growth, and advancement.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity in the Product Catalogue and features within the technical boundaries, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure backlogs reflect impacts.
  • Drive partnerships with product vendors, ensuring timely feature/product upgrades and maximising product efficiency and effectiveness. Minimise bespoke customisation and influence business process changes to utilise vendor-supported products.
Qualifications

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant domain, qualified in SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Agile Product Management (APM).
  • 8+ years of total experience, with 3–5 years of practical experience as a Technical Product Manager or Product Owner.
  • Knowledge/skills:
    • Well-versed in tools for the technical product aspects of software delivery.
    • Strong communication skills at peer, line, and stakeholder levels, with experience coaching and mentoring direct and indirect reports.
    • Demonstrated technical or domain expertise with depth and breadth in the relevant domains.
    • Demonstrated evidence of knowledge in the technical area and its application.
