Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Dubai seeks a Contract Bid & Proposal Management Senior Professional to lead end-to-end bid proposal and contract management activities for medium to highly complex projects within OU AE Oversight Countries.

You will develop winning bid strategies, coordinate cross‑functional teams, assess commercial and contractual risks, negotiate terms, and ensure compliant, competitive tender submissions that maximise profitability and align with governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop winning bid strategies, manage cross‑functional proposal teams, lead commercial and contractual risk assessments, negotiate commercial terms and ensure compliant, competitive, and profitable tender submissions.
• Lead and coordinate technical, commercial and contractual proposals; analyze customer requirements; evaluate solution alternatives; define products, systems, applications and execution concepts to develop optimized and competitive bid solutions.
• Own the complete bid process from opportunity qualification through contract award; develop bid execution plans, submission schedules and stakeholder responsibilities; support bid/no‑bid decisions; develop tender strategies and execution plans aligned with Capture Team strategy, customer expectations, value proposition, commercial setup and execution strategy; ensure compliance with governance approvals and risk‑management requirements.
• Lead target costing and commercial strategy development; analyze project costs, market intelligence, competitor positioning and commercial risks; drive value engineering and solution‑optimisation initiatives; develop pricing models and profitability assessments; manage the Full Cost Model, total price sheets, cash‑flow analysis, contingency management, margin optimisation and tender budget control.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, partners and suppliers; lead bid review meetings and decision forums; ensure a positive customer experience throughout the tendering and sales lifecycle; support Sales Managers during negotiations, customer meetings, clarification meetings and technical‑commercial discussions.
• Maintain timely and accurate reporting of tender status, key risks, opportunities, resource requirements, submission progress and commercial developments to Tender Management and relevant stakeholders; proactively elevate critical issues.
