Job summary

Baker Hughes in Dubai seeks a Strategic Proposal Director for Drilling Services to lead and win high-value, multi-year bids across global markets. You will integrate technical, commercial and operational inputs to craft executable proposals and contracts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
Minimum 15 years of experience in Drilling Services, including senior leadership roles in sales, commercial, proposals, business development, or operations.
Experience managing large, complex, multi-year opportunities and contracts.
Strong knowledge of drilling technologies, service-delivery models, contract structures, pricing, and operational risk.
Experience working across multiple regions and managing diverse customer and stakeholder environments.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead complex, strategic proposals, tenders, and customer negotiations across global Drilling Services markets.
Define win strategies, value propositions, competitive positioning, pricing models, and commercial structures.
Integrate technical, operational, financial, legal, supply-chain, and commercial inputs into proposals.
Structure performance-based and technology-led contracts that maximize value and profitability.
Assess contractual, technical, operational, financial, and execution risks with mitigation and governance.
Ensure disciplined contract handover to operations, including scope, assumptions, risks, deliverables, and performance commitments.
Establish proposal standards, governance, tools, and lessons learned to strengthen proposal quality and win rates.
