Stock Assurance Supervisor
Role Summary
The Stock Assurance Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of physical inventory across warehouses, stores, and distribution centers. This role focuses on controlling stock losses, managing audit processes, ensuring adherence to SOPs, and identifying process gaps that lead to inventory discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily perpetual inventory counts and reconcile if the actual count differs.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of the count.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end activity of the stock count process (Plan, Execution, Analysis & Control).
- Oversee the complete inventory activities of the Retail and Supply Chain (WH Level) according to company guidelines.
- Perform inventory counts as per the assigned plan to ensure the correct number of stock availability against system records.
- Team management and train/guide the team for accurate & smooth stock count activity.
- Review documentation and monitor records to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between system and manual records.
- Perform the Scan to count, count to recount & recount to scan activities to minimize errors.
- Complete the activity as per the assigned timeline and handover the location as per standards to Retail /WH.
- Generate, prepare and finalize the inventory reports, share the report to the Retail/WH team for validation and signoff as per timelines.
- Complete the signoff/reviews as per company SOPs.
- Maintain positive relationships with Retail, Warehouse & other department teams.
- Ensure proper coordination and communication with the stakeholders for an effective stock count & other activities andDevelop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
- Maintain the end‑to‑end records (communication, checklist feedback, signoff documents, etc.) for all assigned tasks.
- Support other department requirements/tasks and ensure 100% completion on the task as per the timeline.
- Ensure time discipline and bring new learning for on‑floor activity.
- Manage time of the team and self for both office and out‑locations.
- Improve day‑to‑day working to ensure smooth flow of work and build efficiency.
- Able to work continuous night shift & travel to another territory as per requirement periods.
- Plan to develop a new effective way of working and implementing the same among the team members.
People Management
The incumbent is responsible for setting clear objectives and performance targets in collaboration with team members, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals. This role involves actively mentoring, guiding, and providing direction to the team to cultivate skill development, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The incumbent applies structured performance management practices to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and drive the team towards achieving periodic KPIs. Through strategic oversight and regular feedback, the incumbent fosters a results‑oriented environment, empowering the team to meet and exceed established benchmarks while supporting both individual and collective growth.
