Job summary

A reputable construction firm in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced professional to supervise night shift steel package works. The role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards, coordinating with safety officers, and conducting site inspections. Ideal candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, along with 5-7 years of relevant experience, including rope access operations. Immediate availability and proper certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in steel works supervision/site engineering.
• Proven experience with Rope Access and work at height operations.
• Valid certifications in Rope Access (IRATA or equivalent) will be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all night shift steel package works ensuring compliance with project specifications drawings and timelines.
• Monitor and control activities involving work at height and rope access ensuring the highest safety standards are followed.
• Coordinate with safety officers rigging teams and subcontractors to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Review method statements risk assessments and ensure proper permits are in place before work begins.
• Conduct site inspections and enforce compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
• Report daily progress issues and safety observations to project management.
• Ensure proper use of equipment tools and PPE for rope access and work-at-height tasks.
• Assist in troubleshooting problem-solving and resolving technical/site challenges.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering/ structural / mechanical or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in steel works supervision/site engineering.
• Proven experience with Rope Access and work at height operations.
• Valid certifications in Rope Access (IRATA or equivalent) and Work at Height Safety will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and safety practices for steel erection and access works.
• Experience in supervising steel package works on large-scale construction projects.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for managing night shift teams.
• Currently in the UAE and available for immediate joining.
