The Logistics Senior Manager is responsible for leading the strategic direction, transformation, and operational excellence of all warehouse operations including direct and indirect materials, and distribution centre across multiple locations. This role drives digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and alignment with corporate objectives. The Senior Manager collaborates cross‑functionally to optimize end‑to‑end supply chain processes and represents the logistics function in executive forums.

Detail of the Job Responsibilities / Key Result Areas
  1. Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute long‑term logistics strategy aligned with organizational goals.
    • Champion innovation in warehouse and distribution centre technology (automation, robotics, advanced WMS/ERP integration).
    • Lead large‑scale projects, including expansion, consolidation, and process reengineering.
  2. Operational Excellence
    • Set and monitor KPIs for cost, service, safety, and compliance at the company level.
    • Oversee multi‑warehouse and distribution centre operations, harmonizing SOPs and best practices.
    • Direct risk management, business continuity, and crisis response for logistics operations.
    • Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, GSP, EHS, and other regulatory standards.
    • Lead audits, regulatory inspections, and remediation programs.
  3. People & Organization Development
    • Build and mentor a high‑performing leadership team; drive succession planning for key roles.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning.
    • Lead change management for organizational transformation.
  4. Stakeholder Management
    • Represent the logistics function in management forums and cross‑functional steering committees.
    • Manage relationships related to logistics with key external partners (vendors, regulators, logistics providers).
  5. EHS Responsibilities
    • Ensure team adherence to EMS and HSE requirements through monitoring, training, and guidance.
    • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
    • Drive departmental initiatives for environmental performance improvement and HSE culture.
  6. Sustainability & Financial Oversight
    • Drive sustainability initiatives (green logistics, waste reduction).
    • Oversee budget planning and spending for logistics operations.
Qualification / Functional Knowledge
  1. Core Competencies:
    • Outstanding leadership skills with proven ability to drive transformation.
    • Advanced analytical and strategic planning skills.
    • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
    • Demonstrated success in leading large teams (100+ employees) across multiple locations.
    • Expertise in digital logistics, automation, and data‑driven decision making.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and decision‑making skills.
  2. Key Experiences / Functional Knowledge Requirements:
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy is required; Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
    • 15+ years’ experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.
    • Track record of leading multi‑site operations and large‑scale change initiatives.
    • Advanced certifications (e.g., CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
    • In‑depth knowledge of SAP systems and advanced warehouse management systems.
    • Expertise in budget management, cost reduction strategies, and regulatory compliance.
