DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer – Leading Bank – Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are seeking an experienced DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer to join our digital transformation team at a leading financial institution in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on platform engineering, automation, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our critical banking systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS and Azure cloud platforms
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, including scaling strategies and resource optimization
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps
  • Monitor system health using Dynatrace and implement comprehensive observability solutions
  • Manage production outages with quick resolution and root cause analysis
  • Conduct performance engineering activities to optimize applications and infrastructure
  • Design and maintain microservices architecture with high availability
  • Develop and maintain robust APIs with focus on reliability and performance
  • Automate workflows using Python, Bash, and Shell scripting
  • Manage metrics, logs, and distributed tracing systems
  • Work as shared resource on MIB (Mobile Internet Banking) project
  • Provide architectural guidance and collaborate with development teams
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting
  • Extensive experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and scaling
  • Hands‑on experience with Jenkins and Azure DevOps
  • Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure as code
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture
  • Proficiency with Dynatrace and monitoring tools
  • Excellent API design and development skills
  • Experience with metrics and log aggregation
Professional Background
  • 5+ years in DevOps and/or SRE roles
  • Proven experience managing large‑scale production environments
  • Background in ecommerce or fintech (required)
  • Banking or financial services experience (preferred)
