We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Equipment Marketing & Market Development for EMEA. As the EMEA Equipment leader, you will shape equipment market development and expansion across EMEA, identifying opportunities partnering to implement go-to-market strategies, commercialize new products, influence Global Strategy, and orchestrate launches with integrated considerations for surgeon engagement, market access, supply chain and pricing, all while driving portfolio profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and drive EMEA Equipment strategy partnering with Clinical Services, Tech Service & Commercial.
  • Conduct research (in partnership with Global Business Intelligence) and in‑market interviews to establish potential growth opportunities, especially in CEEMA.
  • Identify new opportunities, build partnerships, and execute go‑to‑market strategies to grow the company's presence and revenue in target markets.
  • Build key account strategy together with local market and Commercial Excellence teams.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnering with Business Development to assess and strategize deployment opportunities across the region.
  • Facilitate messaging and positioning to mitigate downsides with new competitive innovation.
  • Develop and align positioning & integrated communication plan for implementation across the region.
  • Commercialize new products to drive portfolio growth.
  • Influence the Global Strategy & Pipeline team to ensure that EMEA market needs are considered.
  • Develop launch strategies that integrate market access, supply chain, pricing, professional education, clinical services, technical services, commercial training, and communication as well as KOL feedback and advocacy.
  • Create a cohesive regional launch plan and drive LEX process across key launch countries – aligning steps with, and in close collaboration with, SC NPI processes.
  • Adapt LEX processes to meet needs of future equipment launches, while also influencing change globally and implementing change locally.
  • Collaborate proactively with regional and country partners to deliver launch plans.
  • Successfully apply digital strategies and other innovative approaches.
  • Partner on insight development with the Insights & Analytics team for key launch products; conduct advanced analysis at each stage of the launch excellence process and generate summary reports on key performance indicators once products launch.
  • Manage the marketing of our equipment portfolio, including phaco, laser cataract, refractive surgical equipment, and dry eye portfolio.
  • Develop and execute the regional portfolio strategy based on market and customer insights.
  • Drive portfolio rationalization and prioritization.
  • Establish pricing strategies to maximize portfolio profitability and market share, including regular pricing reviews with data supported from the CommEx team.
  • Partner with, proactively influence, and enable Country Marketing & Sales organizations for effective deployment to execute the marketing plan.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Implement new tools from S&IMC team to streamline in‑market marketing work.
  • Creative agency management.
  • Manage the portfolio financial performance to achieve business plan goals.
  • Analyse and improve top line and profitability performance.
  • Set budget and assess marketing spend effectiveness.
  • Collaborate and engage with JJSV EMEA Marketing team and cross‑functional partners (Supply Chain, Market Access, Commercial Training, Professional Education, Professional Services, Global Strategic Marketing).
  • Build relationships to enable country marketing and influence over plans.
  • See opportunities to revolutionize marketing processes, streamlining and optimizing them for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration, fostering agility and innovation.
  • Facilitate effective stakeholder relationships and alignment to develop successful strategies and execution.
  • Challenge and consistently look for solutions to internal processes.
  • Guide junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring and provide functional (matrix) supervision.
  • Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
  • Work with all EMEA markets, including lead markets – UK+IRE, Turkey, Middle East, Iberia, France, Italy & Russia.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant business experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years progressive marketing experience or commercial experience with a consistent track record of business results.
