Role Overview We are hiring a Senior iOS Developer who will own the development of our native iOS application end-to-end. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a fast, elegant, and stable mobile experience that brings our AI Concierge to life for users worldwide. This role requires a deep understanding of the iOS ecosystem, an eye for performance and design, and the ability to work autonomously while moving quickly. You will collaborate with backend, AI, and design teams to translate complex workflows into smooth and intuitive iOS interfaces. This is a high-ownership role — you will shape the app’s architecture, performance, and long-term technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and architecture of Etera’s native iOS application.
• Build high-performance, responsive, and visually polished interfaces with Swift and SwiftUI (or UIKit when needed).
• Implement clean, modular mobile architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture, Coordinator patterns, etc.).
• Integrate with backend APIs, REST endpoints, and AI-powered services.
• Work closely with design to deliver pixel-perfect, smooth user experiences.
• Optimize app performance, rendering, networking, and memory management.
• Implement advanced features such as deep links, notifications, in-app flows, and media handling.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate conversational UI and interactive assistant features.
• Ensure stability through testing, observability, crash analytics, and best engineering practices.
• Drive technical strategy, code quality, and long-term architectural decisions.
• Move quickly and independently in a fast-paced product environment.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years professional experience building production-grade iOS apps.
• Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and/or UIKit.
• Strong understanding of modern iOS architectures and design patterns.
• Experience integrating complex APIs and backend services.
• Solid understanding of mobile app performance, concurrency, and system frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Apple’s HIG and excellent UI/UX instincts.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality features quickly.
• Experience shipping at least one major app at scale (preferably consumer-facing).
• Strong debugging skills, monitoring, and crash-log analysis.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate.

Nice to Have

• Experience with conversational UI or AI-driven features.
• Background with real-time systems, sockets, or streaming data.
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and App Store deployment.
• Experience building complex animations or custom UI components.
• Knowledge of cross-platform systems or integrating with React Native/Flutter apps.
