Job summary

EDGE seeks an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Halcon to design, develop, test, and verify safety-critical real-time embedded software for advanced defence and aerospace systems. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements decomposition and architecture design to integration, verification, and technical leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering and 8+ years' embedded software

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded software development with strong proficiency in C/C++.
Hands-on experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded systems, device drivers, and low-level hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
Experience with software verification, debugging tools, version control systems (Git/SVN), and requirements management tools such as DOORS or JAMA.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions using C/C++ for real-time and safety-critical applications.
Derive low-level software requirements, architecture, and design from higher-level system and software specifications.
Perform software integration, verification, debugging, and validation activities, including SIL, HIL, and hardware-software integration testing.
Participate in technical reviews, prepare engineering documentation, and mentor junior engineers on software development best practices.
