Job summary

EDGE Group is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Halcon to design, develop, test, and verify real-time embedded software for defence and aerospace systems.

The role covers the full software lifecycle, from requirements decomposition and architecture design to integration, verification, and technical leadership. Strong C/C++ skills, RTOS experience, and familiarity with MISRA standards are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer or Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of embedded software development with strong C/C++.
• Hands-on with RTOS or bare-metal, drivers and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Experience with verification, debugging tools, and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for real-time, safety-critical systems.
• Derive software requirements and architecture from system specifications.
• Integrate, verify, and debug software including SIL/HIL and HW-SW interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and documentation.
