Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and verify real-time embedded software for cutting-edge defense platforms. You will contribute across the life cycle from requirements to implementation and technical documentation.

The role requires 8+ years in embedded software with C/C++, RTOS, and safety-critical environments. Expect hardware-software integration, rigorous testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Computer/Software Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of embedded software experience.
Strong C/C++ proficiency and RTOS/bare-metal know-how.
Experience in defense/aerospace or safety‑critical environments; CM tools familiarity.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement real-time embedded software in C/C++ for safety-critical platforms.
Derive low-level requirements and design modules per system specs.
Perform hardware-software integration including BSPs and device drivers (SPI/I2C/UART/CAN/Ethernet).
Lead/participate in Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and design reviews.
