Overview Of The Role:
- The Rental Logistics Supervisor manages the operations of rental, yard and disposals teams, focusing on resource optimisation and customer satisfaction. The role implements business practices that exemplify Hertz’s vision and brand image while driving growth and profitability. Key responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing fleet logistics, performance management, cost control, and ensuring high customer service standards.
What You Will Do
Supervising/Guidance
- Act as a mentor to Coordinators and Car Washers to emphasize the importance of quality customer service.
- Ensure staff understand expectations to meet department targets.
Reporting
- Generate the Overall Fleet Status report for Dubai and Abu Dhabi and CARPRO fleet inventory for availability.
- Compile Daily Car Wash Report, Car Washers Productivity Report, and Fuel Reconciliation Report.
- Maintain Remarketing Sale Exchange Report, Daily Inventory Report, and disposal‑related trackers.
Operational Activities
- Execute strategic fleet planning, forecasting, and mobilisation to support daily business requirements.
- Provide proactive recommendations regarding fleet status for promotions, rate changes, and off‑sell decisions.
- Ensure shift rosters are available for adequate staffing and oversee daily yard management with inventory checks.
- Facilitate vehicle disposals with Available Stock Reports and logistical support for car movements to sales.
Performance Management
- Conduct periodic reviews with feedback and action plans for addressing gaps.
- Establish and oversee Personal/Individual Development Plans.
Indirect Manpower Cost Control & Management
- Strategically plan resources to meet departmental needs with minimal overtime.
- Validate monthly time sheets and overtime prior to payroll approvals.
- Coordinate proactively for recruitment to minimise downtime and ensure manpower availability.
Customer Complaints and Resolution
- Adhere to policies for handling customer queries and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Escalate customer challenges as per process and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure complaints from direct reports are managed according to HR policies, highlighting those requiring HRBP intervention.
Required Skills To Be Successful
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting purposes.
- Experience in operations management and strategic resource planning.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction and resolution.
What Equips You For The Role
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3‑5 years of experience in the rent‑a‑car or logistics industry.
- Valid UAE Driving Licence.
- Strong English communication skills and proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Experience with operations management and a focus on teamwork, personal leadership, and customer focus.
