Responsibilities

• Implement client HSE Management systems.
• Conduct daily inspections and safety walks.
• Conduct HSE training to raise the capabilities of the team.
• Oversee all site construction activities.
• Prepare regular risk assessments.
• Ensure timely submission of HSE reports.
• Monitor safety rules implementation.
• Inspect tools and working conditions.
• Follow up on contractors’ work and permits.
• Participate in Accident/Incident investigations.
• Track environmental metrics and disposal.
• Liaise with governmental bodies for compliance.

Role Title: QHSE Engineer

Role Type: Outsourced Temporary Full Time OnSite

Contract Period: 6 Months (Temporary Contract)

Work Location: Dubai UAE

Expected Start Date: September 1st 2024

Monthly Salary range: AED 8000

Role Summary: The purpose of the role is to supervise and support the QHSE team in the Projects LOB.

Requirements

• Engineering bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 24 years of experience in the HSE Construction field.
• Very good verbal and written skills (English)
• Certification in Specialist training OSHA IOSH (NEBOSH IGC is a plus).
• Good communication, decision making, teamwork and presentation skills.
• Good computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Implement client HSE Management systems.
• Conduct daily inspections and safety walks to provide feedback to HSE manager and department managers on improvement opportunities to reduce risk in the designated facilities.
• Conduct HSE training to raise the capabilities of the team.
• Oversee all site construction and other relevant activities.
• Prepare regular risk assessments throughout the required facilities.
• Ensure all HSE reports are submitted on time as per required deadlines.
• Monitor all personnel in the workplace on safety rules implementation.
• Ensure the implementation of the work permit system.
• Inspect all manual handling, working at heights, electrical tools and related on-site tools to maintain working condition and standards.
• Follow up all contractors’ work and permits.
• Participate in Accident/Incident and Nearmiss investigations and prepare relevant reports.
• Track environmental metrics and waste segregation and disposal.
• Communicate and liaise with governmental bodies and local authorities to ensure HSE compliance with national regulations.
• Complete all project related documents and ensure implementation and compliance on site.
