Role Context

The QA/QC Civil Inspector will provide hands-on quality surveillance across structural, civil, and architectural finishing activities from early construction through final handover. The position requires continuous coordination with Site Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, laboratories, and material suppliers to ensure completed works meet approved technical requirements before acceptance. Accurate inspection and documentation will help prevent defective work from progressing to subsequent stages, improve workmanship consistency, support timely consultant approvals, and strengthen overall construction quality across Azizi Developments ' expanding project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of civil and structural activities against approved drawings, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Inspect foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, blockwork, plastering, screeding, tiling, and associated civil and finishing activities.
• Verify that site execution complies with approved Method Statements and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Review work areas before requesting consultant inspections and identify issues requiring rectification.
• Coordinate Inspection Requests with Site Engineers, QA/QC personnel, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Inspect incoming construction materials and support preparation and processing of Material Inspection Requests.
• Confirm that only approved materials are incorporated into permanent works.
• Check material storage conditions and ensure products are protected and handled according to project requirements.
• Review manufacturer certificates, material test certificates, laboratory results, and third-party inspection documentation.
• Witness relevant inspections and tests required by approved quality procedures.
• Monitor concrete-related activities and associated testing requirements where assigned.
• Identify defective workmanship and non-conforming construction before subsequent works proceed.
• Coordinate corrective actions with site teams and verify satisfactory rectification before closure.
• Monitor workmanship standards across structural and finishing packages.
• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, test records, approvals, and supporting project quality documentation.
• Assist QA/QC Engineers in preparing periodic quality reports and inspection status updates.
• Coordinate closely with consultants regarding inspection comments, observations, and approval requirements.
• Participate in consultant inspections and internal quality audits.
• Track outstanding inspection comments and support timely close-out of quality issues.
• Verify completed works during snagging and de-snagging activities.
• Support project handover by ensuring required inspection and quality documentation is complete and properly recorded.
• Communicate recurring workmanship concerns to QA/QC Engineers and construction teams for preventive action.

Ideal Profile

Diploma or Bachelor 's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, Construction, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 3-6 years of experience working as a QA/QC Civil Inspector within construction or contracting environments. Strong hands-on inspection experience across building, structural, civil, and architectural finishing works is required. Candidates should understand reinforcement, formwork, concrete, blockwork, plastering, screeding, tiling, foundations, and general building construction activities. Practical experience working with Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Inspection Requests, Material Inspection Requests, quality checklists, test reports, and inspection records is important. UAE or wider GCC construction experience is preferred. Previous coordination with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, laboratories, and site engineering teams will be highly valuable. The role requires close attention to workmanship, strong drawing interpretation skills, accurate documentation, and the confidence to identify unacceptable work before it affects subsequent construction activities.
