Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

AKI is looking to hire a Project Engineer who is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising project execution to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to contractual and technical requirements. Collaborates with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to drive successful project outcomes within approved budgets and schedules.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring milestones and deliverables.
• Review technical drawings, designs, and specifications for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate material, plant, and equipment requirements to ensure timely procurement.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Implement quality assurance processes and enforce HSE compliance on site.
• Prepare project progress reports, document variations or delays, and recommend corrective actions.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, or related field.
• Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in sports or flooring projects, preferably in landscaping, infrastructure, or related works.
