Role Summary

The Principal Engineer - Stormwater / Hydrology will lead hydrological and hydraulic modelling and stormwater system design for a portfolio of confidential multi‑disciplinary infrastructure programmes in the region. The role combines technical leadership, design governance, and team mentoring to ensure high‑quality, coordinated outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hydrology and stormwater modelling, analysis, and design for infrastructure scopes (confidential).
• Define modelling methodologies, parameters and QA/QC processes across project phases.
• Produce and review reports, calculations, technical notes and deliverables to RBG standards.
• Coordinate with civil, utilities, roads/highways, and digital engineering teams.
• Support bid inputs, scope definition, delivery planning and risk management.
• Mentor engineers and technicians; uplift modelling capability across the team.
• Engage stakeholders professionally, ensuring alignment to scope, standards and programme.
• Champion safety, sustainability, innovation and digital delivery in design.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil / Water Resources / Environmental Engineering (or similar).
• Professional registration/chartership (or working towards) is advantageous.
• 10+ years in hydrology / hydraulics / stormwater design and modelling.
• Proven delivery of complex infrastructure scopes in multi‑disciplinary environments.
• Strong technical leadership, quality management and stakeholder coordination.
