Job description

Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel, APAC region, based in Singapore, our client is looking for an experienced paralegal based in either Malaysia or other APAC markets. You will work closely with various business units and corporate functions of the company and regional specialists. You will assist with the development and coordination of standard agreement templates/legal databases. You will also help draft, review, and finalize various agreements with our clients, vendors, suppliers, and other entities. The regional focus will be the Asia Pacific region however you can work remotely from anywhere, aligning with Singapore hours when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare contracts using company-approvedtemplate contracts.
  • To have a firm understanding of the company's policies, forms and contract procedures so as to provide support to client service associates and assure compliance with the company's policies.
  • Oversee the operation of automated external facing portals for highly standardized contracts (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreements).
  • Review third-party changes proposed to our template contracts (e.g. Local Service Agreements and contract addendums) / other documents.
  • Liaise with lawyers in thelegal team as required (e.g. consulting on changes proposed by a third party to standard company terms and conditions).
  • Project manage the process of rolling out new or updated template contracts (including arranging for translations and liaising with key legal and business stakeholders).
  • Refresh and maintain databases
  • General paralegal and contract admin/management tasks

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Min a Bachelor Degree in Law or relevant professional studies relating to legal contract review and administration
  • Prior experience in contract administration, work experience for MNC and/or in a law firm are added advantages
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills (English is a must; other languages a plus, especially those relevant to the Asia region)
  • Familiar with Microsoft / Google Applications and managing legal databases
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, accurate and meticulous

ABOUT THE TEAM
The in-house Legal team comprises attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants.

Budget is USD$50-60K annually (full-time role, location can be anywhere in APAC, flexible/hybrid arrangement (i.e. can work from home), will report to Chief Legal Counsel(based in Singapore).
